Dr. Obie L. Davis, born November 6, 1945, in Tyler, Texas and raised in Dallas, Texas where he met his future wife Sis. Joyce M. Thomas. Dr. Davis was drafted into the US Army where he spent two years of that time over eleven months was spent in Vietnam. He received and acknowledged his calling from God in 1979. Dr.

Davis attended the Southern Bible Institute. Sis. Davis studied the Basic Bible while Dr. Davis continued on for four years and graduated in 1984. He was ordained for ministry in 1986. In 1990 he returned to Southern Bible Institute for four more years and three more years at Vision International University and received his Bachelors and Master of Theology Degree; in 2003 he received his Doctorate of Ministry Degree

Bruce Davis is the Associate Pastor of SafeWay Baptist Church. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University, Waco,TX and is a member of Baylor University Sports Hall of Fame as well as a Member of Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame. Bruce was a professional NFL player for the Cleveland Browns and coaches a variety of youth sports.
